Käringsund’s wildlife safari Come along on a guided tour in the safari trolley among deers, boars, ostriches and llamas at Käringsund’s wildlife safari. In the pasture the animals live in their natural environment, but are still so used to humans that they allow us to come near them.
Eckerö Mail & Custom’s House The building was erected in 1828 and designed in the Empire style by the architect Carl Ludving Engel and is said to be one of Engel’s most important secular constructions. Eckerö Mail & Custom’s House was the Russian Empire’s border station towards Sweden. The building and the area around it is an important part of the Åland culture heritage with a strong association to the old post route. Every summer, exhibitions are held in the premises. Visitors can also enjoy lighter meals and snacks at the local charming café, Kalesch.
